That Quote on the Wall

This quote holds a special place in my heart. It was hanging near my little office ages ago when I worked in an old manufacturing plant in Thailand.

It wasn’t love at first sight.

I saw that poster on the wall several times every day but never looking in detail

It was like this for many months

I was so busy trying to get things done, proving myself valuable, and be the best at my job

Nothing wrong with that, of course

But when you play the game, you sometimes lose,

( that’s how you sometimes win too 🙂 )

And one day, when I was as down as you can be, I saw it

I am convinced that it was meant to happen at that moment and not a day earlier

Because when you reach the bottom and your mind is out of ideas and plans, that’s when you look around!

…and see what’s been there the whole time.

There is nothing really new or unique in this quote’s message.

We all know we ought to keep going!

What this quote taught me is that there is great dignity in trying again.

Even when others think you should quit

Because courage is honourable.
